Worrying pictures emerge as Arsenal fear long-term injury

Things can never be straightforward for Arsenal, can they?

The Gunners have seemingly recovered from their early season issues with a run of good results and addressed certain gaps in their squad with late summer signings such as Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez. But just as the sun rises on the horizon, another cloud of disappointment emerges.

Indeed, the London side look set to be without Francis Coquelin for a little while, with the Frenchman having been forced off the field after just half an hour during the 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger admitted after the game that he is “worried” about his player’s set-back and there have since been reports claiming a lay-off of ‘months’ is expected. Ouch.

As if things couldn’t get worse, the 25-year-old has been pictured at Highgate Hospital with his right leg in a brace. That’s certainly not a good sign!
