Arsenal may have secured a 15th consecutive season in the last-16 of the Champions League, but they might have to do the unthinkable if they’re going to have a chance of lifting their first European trophy in May.
Having qualified from their group in second place, the Gunners are destined to get a tough draw in the first knock-out stage when the draw takes place on Monday.
They can draw one of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Porto or Monaco. And, if the below graph is accurate, they’re more likely to draw Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich than anyone else.
Now if that’s not the draw from hell, I don’t know what is. Oh, and Chelsea look likely to get their obligatory easy draw, with Bayer Leverkusen the side they’ll most likely meet. Typical.
