Aston Villa’s season has been one to forget so far. The Villans dropped down to the Championship after a disastrous 2015/16 campaign, and even though money was spent to back Roberto Di Matteo, the Midlanders were closer to the relegation zone than the promotion places before Steve Bruce was drafted in as manager.
However, since the arrival of the serial promotion winner, Villa have looked a different team, drawing and winning their first two matches before securing another victory today against Fulham.
And the 1-0 win came courtesy of a wondergoal from Jonathan Kodjia!

The Cottagers’ defending was quite frankly abysmal, but the 27-year-old still did well to acrobatically rifle the ball into the net and tee his side up for a second victory on the spin – something barely any Villa fan can remember feeling!
The Villa Park club are now 16th in the Championship after 14 games with 17 points.
