Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is under pressure from the fans this season following their failure to win the Championship playoff final at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
At the moment the club sit 15th in the standings after winning just three of their 10 matches, five of which have been draws and two defeats.
Villa’s rivals West Bromwich Albion are currently at the top of the standings with a six-point lead over Bruce’s side.
On Friday, the Villans had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Bristol City, but they would have been on the losing side had Birkir Bjarnason not scored the equaliser.
After witnessing West Brom move to the summit of the Championship, Twitter account @HeartOfTheHolte admitted admiration for the Baggies’ boss Darren Moore, who was handed the permanent job following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last season.
Hate to point it out, but can’t help looking down the road and admiring the job Moore is doing. Limited funds, has turned around the losing mentality and removed the Pulis/Pardew brand of football, all this in his first ever job, just shows experience isn’t everything. #AVFC

The post sparked a discussion among Villa fans, with some in agreement and others looking from a different perspective.
From what I’ve heard, it’s more like his coaches doing the good job rather than Moore himself. Let’s just say he’s a very good motivational speaker rather than anything else. Not knocking how well they’ve turned it around but not all down to DM

Experience means very little these days – coaching has to be about innovation, inspiring players and attack minded football. Unpopular opinion but for me I would have Tim Sherwood back with JT as assistant. TS got the best of FD,JG and CB – would do it again with JG , JK and CH

It helps that Moore plays players in their natural Positions. And more than one experienced centre half.

And he wouldn’t ever throw his players under the bus to save his own job, or hasn’t yet… equally blues have monk, we definitely got the worse deal here

Come on lads give him a break he’s a promotion specialist and we will be there or there abouts. We have the makings of a good team

West Brom actually know how they want to play ?

Moore also knows the fans and like all of us they just want commitment and for the players to work for the club.
Also playing players in their correct positions and not dropping them when they have played well .

Now 6 points off the top and to the baggies it’s even more irritating….especially as I would consider us to have a better squad

He’s doing a good job there. Even the other team down the road seem to have more fight in them
— Win (@win0067) September 29, 2018
Agree. Unfortunately I think they’ll almost certainly get one of the automatic promotion berths….

Too right. So wish we had taken the gamble is the summer and gone for Henry. Can’t help but think Bruce managed to blag himself another year
