Aston Villa fans criticise Conor Hourihane after Ipswich win

Aston Villa continued their recent good form and moved up to fourth in the Championship table as they beat Ipswich Town 2-0 at Villa Park on Saturday, but Villa fans were quick to criticise Conor Hourihane for his performance.

The midfielder has established himself as a regular fixture in the XI alongside Glenn Whelan in the middle of the park this season, scoring five goals and providing a further two assists in 17 Championship appearances.

However, the 26-year-old had one of his more quiet afternoons against the Tractor Boys with his Republic of Ireland international teammate outperforming him, and it was a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by the Villa Park faithful.

Aston Villa supporters took to social media to have their say on the display of the former Barnsley man, and while one said “he looked lost”, another believes he has “gone off the boil”.
