Aston Villa fans have called on their club to bring John Terry back to Villa Park in a bid to ease their defensive problems.

Villa have one of the most talented squads in the Championship, but they are now five games without a win in all competitions following Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Sheffield United.

The Villa supporters have made their feelings on Mile Jedinak being selected at centre-back pretty clear in recent matches, but that currently remains the case.

James Chester is actually Villa's only senior centre-back, with Tommy Elphick being allowed to move on loan to Hull City in the final stages of the summer window.

Terry left Villa at the end of last season with the club unable to offer the former England captain a new contract due to their financial problems.

Things have changed since then, however, and a number of the club's supporters have called for the 37-year-old to seal a sensational return to Villa Park.

Terry is no spring chicken, but his presence in the dressing room has been sorely missed, the Villa fans have made their feelings on the former Chelsea captain quite clear.
