Aston Villa's frustrated supporters appear to want two things at the moment.

One of those is for head coach Steve Bruce to be sacked, and the other is for Mile Jedinak not to be selected at centre-back.

Talk about killing two birds with one stone, the Villa fans have called on their club to bring club legend Olof Mellberg back to Villa Park.

Some of the supporters want the former Sweden international to boost the back four, whilst others have called for him to replace Bruce as head coach.

The Swede represented Villa as a player between 2001 and 2008, making more than 230 league appearances, and it would be fair to say that he was a very popular figure with the club’s fans.

The no-nonsense centre-back went on to play for Juventus, before retiring from football at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.

Mellberg also has managerial experience with Swedish side Brommapojkarna, and is now wanted to return to Villa Park as soon as possible.
