Aston Villa pulled off one of the comebacks of the season as they fought back from 3-0 down against Sheffield United on Friday night, with Andre Green's stoppage-time header ensuring the hosts somehow took a point from the clash.

The Blades had taken their three-goal lead through Billy Sharp, whose hat-trick took his tally for the season to 22, but couldn't hold onto their advantage as the game entered the final 10 minutes.

Tyrone Mings, on loan from Bournemouth, gave the Villans a platform for the unthinkable in the 82nd minute as he headed home from a corner. Four minutes later, top scorer Tammy Abraham netted his 20th of the campaign to bring the Midlands outfit within one strike of a brilliant point and Green's last gasp goal sent Villa Park into delirium.

Mings' goal was his first in claret and blue and the defender looked confident on the ball and, despite his side's defensive frailties giving them a mammoth task in the final half an hour, a solid addition to the back four.

Signing for Villa on deadline day as Dean Smith and co brought a trio of new faces to the club, the 25-year-old hasn't taken long to settle into his new surroundings and the Villa Park faithful are loving it.
