Albert Adomah was on the scoresheet as Aston Villa drew 1-1 with Stoke City in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

A fifth-minute effort from Sam Vokes had seen Stoke take the lead, but Adomah netted just past the hour mark as the points were shared at the Bet365 Stadium.

The goal was actually Adomah's first of the season, having failed to register in his first 26 appearances of the 2018-19 campaign, and will come as a huge confidence boost for the Villa attacker.

It would be fair to say that the 31-year-old has split the opinion of the Villa fanbase in the past.

However, a whole host of the club's supporters took to social media on Saturday to lavish praise on the winger for finding the back of the net.

Villa are not really moving any closer to the playoffs at the moment, but it was certainly important that they avoided defeat against Stoke on Saturday.
