Aston Villa continue to battle to keep hold of in-demand centre-back James Chester, with Stoke City fighting to sign him before the summer transfer window closes.
According to The Sun, Stoke have offered Villa the chance to sign experienced midfielder Charlie Adam as part of a potential deal for Chester.
However, the Villa supporters have laughed off the potential swap on social media.
Chester is, without question, one of the best defenders in the second tier, and Villa have every right to hold out for the best possible price.

Adam, meanwhile, only made 11 Premier League appearances for Stoke last term, and will turn 33 later this year.
That said, the 26-time Scotland international is a very talented midfielder.
Stoke clearly felt that the offer could have some legs, but the Villa supporters are simply not interested in any deal which would see Adam move to Villa Park.
