Aston Villa fans on Twitter loved Axel Tuanzebe’s Carabao Cup performance

Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe impressed Aston Villa fans on Twitter as the Villians knicked a 1-0 win away at League 2 side Yeovil Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.

The hosts had a goal disallowed for a foul just before half-time and striker Alex Fisher had a penalty saved by Villa keeper Andre Moreira in the second half, before Conor Hourihane sealed the win for the Championship side.

Tuanzebe spent the second half of last season on loan at Steve Bruce’s side and returned this summer for a full season in the Championship. The 20-year-old, who played at right-back in the league win over Wigan, was alongside Elphick at the heart of the defence and impressed the Villa fans.

On more than one occasion he prevented what would have been certain goals, clearing one off the line when Yeovil looked certain to take the lead.

Take a look at some of the best tweets from Villa fans on Tuanzebe’s performance below.
