Tammy Abraham and Yannick Bolasie scored their first Aston Villa goals as Steve Bruce's side recorded a 2-0 win over Rotherham United on Tuesday night.

Villa entered the match desperately needing a win following a poor run of form, which had only further increased the pressure on Bruce.

However, the former Manchester United defender played a key role in bringing both Abraham and Bolasie to Villa Park this summer, and both were on the scoresheet against Rotherham as Villa moved into the top six.

Abraham spent last season on loan at Swansea City from Chelsea, and was said to be reluctant to drop down to the Championship for the 2018-19 campaign.

The striker's lack of early-season minutes at Chelsea changed his mind, however, and Villa managed to secure his services.

The Villa fans have been frustrated with a lot of things this season, but many took to social media to hail Abraham for his debut goal.
