Aston Villa were unable to get their Premier League season back on track in Sunday’s league fixture against Wolves, losing 2-1 to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, but consecutive league goals for summer signing Trezeguet has led to a number of the club’s fans praising the Egyptian international’s promising performance.

It was merely a consolation strike when Trezeguet found the back of the net in injury time, but the battling display from the £8.75m summer signing means the forward is seemingly finding some goalscoring form at a time where the West Midlands side are certainly in need of their attacking players stepping up and delivering.

It was a disappointing performance from Villa’s squad on Sunday, with goals from Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez enough to consign Dean Smith’s side to a third consecutive Premier League defeat.

However, reacting to a tweet he composed after the game these fans were certainly appreciative of Trezeguet’s performance; despite yet another poor result for the newly-promoted side.

Here are some of the best reactions to Trezeguet’s display against Wolves.
