According to BirminghamLive, Brentford are holding out for a £25m transfer fee for Said Benrahma in the final stages of the summer transfer window.

The report claims that Villa are keen to do a deal somewhere between £15m and £20m. However, Brentford are said to be waiting on £25m.

Villa, who will open their 2019-20 Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, have been incredibly active in this summer's market.

Benrahma is wanted by Dean Smith's side, though, and it is not too difficult to understand why when reviewing his numbers from last season.

Indeed, an impressive 2018-19 campaign saw the 23-year-old contribute 10 goals and 15 assists in 38 Championship appearances.

According to BirminghamLive, it's a potential deal that could go "right up until the wire" as the summer transfer deadline looms.
