According to a report in The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are scouting Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish as they look to be active in the summer transfer window, but Villa fans are remaining calm about the situation – and rightly so because they know exactly what the scenario is.
Spurs may well be targeting some moves after going two successive windows without signing a player, but they have shown in the past that they aren’t always willing to pay big bucks needed to land their targets.
That leaves Villa in a good position especially if The Times is to be believed, considering they report that the 23-year-old has a release clause set at £45m in his contract.
Their supporters are clearly realistic though, and know that if they fail to win promotion back to the Premier League this term then their skipper is likely to seek an exit – and who could blame him given the quality he clearly has.
Should the worse happen then the money would undoubtedly be a huge help for the 2019/20 campaign, but if they do manage to go up they would surely be almost 100% guaranteed to keep the Villa fan at the club.
Here is what those supporters have been saying…
Grealish will go. That's the absolute reality.
What was comical was last summer @JamesNursey & @greggevans40 did their best to sell him daily & talked about him going on strike, only to be fronted on this very platform by his brother. Article swiftly removed

There’s interest from Chelsea and Liverpool too. Love him to stay, but a huge bid may be too tempting. It will need to be huge too, due to his current deal. Let’s hope we can push on and get that promotion to keep all our good players. UTV

It’s not Tottenham we have to worry about it’s Man Utd . But I believe if we can go up he’ll stay .

Silly season starting early.
But if you ask me it’s already been agreed that if Villa Don’t get promoted this season Jack can leave. I believe he was asked to give Villa another season before he left.

Can Forest get back to winning ways against lowly Ipswich? Matchday with Max gives us his view on their recent defeat to Villa in the video below…
Half of Europe would be “keen” on Jack Grealish.
It’s quite simple, if we go up I don’t see him leaving just yet.
Miss out, he’s off

Has to go in the summer if we don’t go up but we will hopefully get a decent sum for him
