According to The Guardian, Aston Villa are considering the possibility of signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Glenn Murray on loan for the rest of the season.

The 36-year-old, who will see his contract at the Amex Stadium expire this summer, has only started three Premier League matches this season.

In all competitions, the striker has managed just one goal in 14 outings, with the strike in question coming in the EFL Cup.

As expected, a number of Villa fans have been commenting on the speculation, and a significant portion are really not interested in Murray arriving this month.

That is not a view shared by everyone, though, as some of the club's supporters have said that the experienced forward could be a good signing.

Indeed, whilst Murray's record this term is not exactly brilliant, he did score 13 Premier League goals for the Seagulls during the 2018/19 campaign.

One supporter, though, suggested that the club should attempt to re-sign Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace before the end of the month rather than target Murray.

Meanwhile, a lot of the Villa fans were disappointed with the performance of one player in particular against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
