Although Jonathan Kodjia’s Aston Villa career initially seemed destined for excellence with 19 goals in his debut season, the striker has struggled to maintain any form of consistency over the last two campaigns, and these Villa fans have been responding to reports that the former Bristol City man could be exiting the club in January.
That’s according to reports from YeniSafak, who have suggested that Kodjia is attracting interest from Turkish outfit Besiktas ahead of a possible move in the upcoming transfer window.
Kodjia, 30, has found himself behind the likes of former loanee Tammy Abraham and most recently club-record signing Wesley Moraes in the striking department at Villa Park over the last two seasons, and injuries have prevented the Ivorian from nailing down a regular starting berth in B6.
Therefore a potential departure from the West Midlands could make perfect sense for all concerned, and these Villa fans have been responding to the potential departure of Kodjia in January. Here are some of the best reactions following a tweet regarding the striker’s possible exit from the club.
