According to The World’s Game, Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak will leave the Championship club in this summer’s transfer window.
Jedinak scored twice in 28 Championship appearances for Villa last season, and there is no question that the 33-year-old is an important figure in the dressing room.
The Australian is on big money at Villa, however, and Steve Bruce’s side are not exactly in the best of financial positions at the moment.
Jedinak could certainly do another season in the Championship, but it appears that the midfielder will leave ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The Villa fans have been reacting to the transfer speculation on social media, and the majority understand why 6ft 2in Jedinak is set to leave.
One fan even claimed that Jedinak’s expected exit would boost their chances of keeping hold of Iceland international Birkir Bjarnason this summer.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the Villa supporters can be seen below:
Great news for us as it gives hope that bjarnsson might stay

Love Mile, absolute warrior. Our results are better when he plays but he’s 34 and on £45k pw I believe. In our position, getting him out is a good move. #avfc

That’s a shame. No doubt on high wages with us so another step to sorting out FFP

Agreed, if we could land £3mill@or thereabouts transfer fee too it would be nice though. Every penny counts. Need a centre half to replace him and Terry though. More and more I believe keeping Chester is vital for us

no tears shed by me. Only fit for 50% of the season.
