Jedinak scored twice in 28 Championship appearances for Villa last season, and there is no question that the 33-year-old is an important figure in the dressing room.

The Australian is on big money at Villa, however, and Steve Bruce's side are not exactly in the best of financial positions at the moment.

Jedinak could certainly do another season in the Championship, but it appears that the midfielder will leave ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The Villa fans have been reacting to the transfer speculation on social media, and the majority understand why 6ft 2in Jedinak is set to leave.

One fan even claimed that Jedinak's expected exit would boost their chances of keeping hold of Iceland international Birkir Bjarnason this summer.
