Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton made WhoScored's Team of the Week for the recent round of Championship matches.

Indeed, Hutton was awarded a rating of 7.4 for his performance in the goalless draw with Reading on Saturday afternoon.

According to WhoScored, Hutton made three tackles and also won two aerials duels, whilst his pass success rate was 72%.

Statistics rarely paint a false picture in football and Hutton's numbers are decent when taking everything into account.

However, it would be fair to say that the Villa supporters were surprised to see that the Scot had been named in the TOTW for the latest round of fixtures.

Indeed, Hutton did not provide too much going forward and he didn't really stand out ahead of any of the other defenders in the team - or for that matter, any of the other defenders in the Championship.
