Aston Villa fans want to sign Lewis Grabban permanently after another goal

Aston Villa’s distant hopes of automatic promotion from the English Championship ended on Saturday after drawing away to fellow play-off hopefuls Derby County.

With just one game remaining before the play-offs start, Villa now know they are likely to play Middlesbrough in the semi-final of the process, hoping to make a lucrative step up to the English Premier League.

It was Grabban’s 20th goal of the season, eight of which have been scored at Villa after switching loan clubs in January. With four goals in his last three games, he appears to be peaking at the perfect time for the Villans.

Fans are now eager to sign him up on a permanent basis this summer, many believing he’d be an excellent squad option in the top-flight and a potential main man if they fail to get promoted.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts after Saturday’s match…
