Aston Villa bounced back from defeat to secure an important result at home to Cardiff City on Tuesday night, winning 1-0 thanks to a stunning late volley from midfielder Jack Grealish.

With the game deadlocked at 0-0, the ball popped up to Grealish 20 yards out, who promptly banged it in off the post with a goal of the season contender.

Despite that strike undoubtedly stealing all the headlines, it was another performer on the night that Villa fans were quick to pay tribute to - goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Many felt he was the man of the match for a string of impressive saves across the 90 minutes that kept the Villans in the game before Grealish's beauty.
