Aston Villa have made an approach to sign Crystal Palace veteran Mile Jedinak, according to journalist Callum Williams.
The Midlands club had a dire 2015-16 and were relegated from the Premier League after picking up a miserly three victories in their 38 games.
With the appointment of Roberto Di Matteo and new owner Tony Xia at the helm, the Midlands outfit have been busy in the transfer market this summer and want to be promoted from the Championship at the first time of asking.

Jedinak has been on Palace’s books since 2011, with his commitment and work rate in the Eagles boiler room endearing him to the Selhurst Park faithful.
However, at 32 the Australia international’s powers are seemingly waning and the former Sydney FC battler was not an automatic first choice last season.
Alan Pardew has recently announced that Jedinak has been replaced as Palace club captain by Scott Dann for the 2016-17 campaign, sparking rumours that the former skipper could be heading towards the exit door.
