Alan Hutton says he has enjoyed his loan spell at Real Mallorca so much that he is hoping to sign a permanent deal with the club.

The Scotsman moved to the club on loan in January, after spending the first half of the campaign at Nottingham Forest and has flourished at the Iberostar Estadi, making 13 La Liga appearances.

Despite Mallorca currently struggling at the bottom of the table, Hutton says he has enjoyed his time abroad and has revealed that he wants to stay in Spain, preferably with Los Bermellones.

"I have not as such had any talks about staying as obviously it is hard at the moment as we are fighting with everything we have got to try and stay up," Hutton said. "It is a brilliant thing to do and I would love to stay in Mallorca and if not, hopefully Spain in general.

"It's been a brilliant new experience for myself and I am really enjoying every minute of it."
