Aston Villa are chasing two transfer targets this summer according to reports with The Sun claiming Ashley Williams has attracted the interest of the club over the last weekend.

Meanwhile, a report in The Sunday Mirror (28/04), has claimed that Stephane Bahoken is being monitored by the Villans too.

With this in mind, it could change the look of Dean Smith's defensive and offensive options. A host of Villa players may come and go in the summer with a number of loan deals and contracts coming to an end.

Their starting XI next season will obviously depend on promotion too but taking all things into account, we've had a go at predicting what the Villa side could look like next season if they swooped for both Williams and Bahoken.

Given Villa are set to lose Axel Tuanzebe, Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause then defensive reinforcements will be needed when the window opens. Tommy Elphick's contract is also set to expire which means our line up predicts Williams to come straight into the heart of the defence.

Goalkeeper Jed Steer signed a new contract with the club in March so keeps his place in goal. Villa's midfield again looks strong, but Jack Grealish has attracted the interest of Tottenham and Crystal Palace so could be on the move.

With Tammy Abraham leaving the club, current Angers player Bahoken would go straight into the side as the lone striker if he signs.

He has been playing up top on his own in France so it's unlikely he'd play alongside Jonathan Kodjia. His addition makes the attack exciting with all three players possessing pace and creativity.

However, this team also depends on whether Villa decide to use the optional clause in Anwar El Ghazi's loan contract to buy him permanently. On the opposite flank, it could be a breakout season for Andre Green.

The 20-year-old has impressed in parts during 2018/19 and looks set to make a real impact after the summer break. He's certainly one to monitor going forward.
