Aston Villa have had some key players missing over the last few weeks due to injuries, but manager Steve Bruce does not expect to be without them for much longer.

John Terry suffered a broken metatarsal on November 4 during a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

The blow came inside the first 21 minutes of the encounter and he has been on the sidelines ever since.

It was initially predicted that the defender would not return to action until 2018, and Bruce has revealed that Terry is on course to be available for selection in around two weeks' time.

Mile Jedinak has also had his injury woes to contend with this season given that he has been restricted to just six Championship outings, two of which were starts.

After suffering a shoulder problem against Ipswich Town on November 25, the midfielder sought help from specialists.

Now, Bruce has confirmed that the Australia international could feature in Saturday's trip to face Derby County.
