Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert could make changes ahead of Sunday’s game with Liverpool as he welcomes back four men to the squad.
The struggling side have not had much luck over the campaign in terms of injuries but the Scottish manager’s options have been broadened for this weekend’s game at Villa Park.
Striker Darren Bent (foot), defender Nathan Baker (head) and midfielder Karim El Ahmadi (ankle) are all in contention to be given the nod as the Villans look to secure a double over Brendan Rodgers’ side this campaign.
Fabian Delph could also be restored back to the starting line-up after serving a two-match suspension.
Ciaran Clark and Brett Holman picked up shoulder and hamstring injuries respectively on international duty and will face late fitness tests.
