Aston Villa stars have differing mindsets after draw with West Ham

Premiership Picks

After spending over £100m this summer, there are high expectations around Villa Park this season.

However, those expectations haven’t been met as of yet. The Midlands club have won just one league game so far this term, and they sit 17th in the table.

They picked up their fourth point of the campaign on Monday evening with a 0-0 draw against West Ham.

Some players were seemingly pleased with the result against the London club.

Tyrone Mings seemed to be quite pleased with how the team got on, as the Villans kept their second clean sheet of the season.

However, certain members of the squad felt disappointed that they couldn’t get more than a point against the Hammers.

Thought we could’ve came away with 3 points last night but a point on board against a strong West Ham side. On to Sunday now ⚽️

Disappointed with this result ?. But what a pleasure to return to VILLA PARK ?

It’s strange to see such differing views on Monday’s results from players within the same squad.

It’s also easy to see both sides of the split. West Ham are eighth in the league, but they also had a man sent off in the second half. Perhaps they should feel disappointed not to have won, but they will have much easier tests than Manuel Pellegrini’s side this campaign.
