Aston Villa supporters in awe of two goal hero John McGinn

Aston Villa supporters have been left in amazement by the match-winning performance of John McGinn on Wednesday night as their side beat Nottingham Forest 3-1.

In many Villa fans’ eyes, he was the best player on the pitch and it’s easy to see why as the former Hibs man scored twice as the promotion contenders came from a goal down to go on to win.

The Villa Park faithful appeared to run out of ways to describe McGinn when reacting to his performance on Twitter. He received so much praise that he was even compared to Lionel Messi as well as being labelled as potentially the best player in the Championship.

However, other fans of the Villans kept things a little more realistic, lauding him as outstanding and sensational after being mesmerised by the Scot’s performance this week. It was a win that severely boosted Villa’s play-off hopes and McGinn is being hailed as the reason why.

A fair few that follow the Midlands club were quick to give him their man of the match award whilst also suggesting he deserved a hat-trick for his showing at the City Ground.

The midfielder’s first goal saw him burst into the area after checking back on the right-hand side and firing low into the net before finding a second from distance.

The Scotland international has four goals and seven assists in 31 Championship games since making the move from the SPL last summer.

This is the best of the reaction from his efforts against Forest.
