Darren Bent has suggested that Jarrod Bowen would make a good signing for Aston Villa, as reported by Football Insider.
Dean Smith’s side currently occupy a place in the relegation zone, sitting one point behind West Ham United as 2019 approaches its culmination.
Therefore, it is only natural that Villa are being linked with moves for new recruits during the January transfer window.
Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen is among those the club are reportedly looking at, with The Daily Star claiming that £15m would be enough to sign him.

Speaking to Football Insider, Bent suggested this is a move that makes sense for both the player and club: “Aston Villa are a big club. Hull City are in the Championship, Aston Villa are in the Premier League, they’re one of the biggest clubs in England, you know what I mean?
“I don’t think it’ll be a difficult decision to pick Aston Villa over Hull City, it’s not a difficult decision for me at all.

“Also if the worst comes to the worst, Villa still have more than enough to come straight back up if relegated so I think he’ll be a good signing.”
If Bowen could be lured to Villa, the club he grew up supporting, then it would definitely be an encouraging signing as they look to maintain their Premier League status.
In 25 Championship starts this season, the 23-year-old has already managed 15 goals and six assists for Hull, meaning he has directly contributed to just under half of their 39 league goals this campaign.
Regardless of the fact that his success has arrived in the Championship, it remains a seriously impressive return.
Villa may already have Jack Grealish, Anwar El Ghazi, Trezeguet and Jota who can play in attacking midfield positions, but they need to be ruthless with their decision making to stay in the league.
Considering Bowen’s record this term, he would likely be able to make his way into the team immediately and look to make an impact.
