John Gregory is a name you probably haven’t heard for a while.
In fact, the former Aston Villa manager’s last major job ended all the way back in 2007, when he was sacked by QPR.
During the intermittent period, he’s donned the dugout in as obscure locations as Maccabi Ahi Nazareth and FC Ashdod in Israel as well as FC Kairat in Kazakhstan – before two years at Crawley Town.
The 62-year-old has been out of work since 2015, but it appears he’s been keeping himself incredibly busy in the meantime on social media.
Indeed, amid news that Aston Villa have sacked Roberto Di Matteo, we came across Gregory’s official Twitter handle this morning – and it’s an absolute goldmine of online banter!
