Aston Villa will have left their match against Tottenham Hotspur feeling highly frustrated, following Heung-min Son's 93rd minute winner.

There will likely be questions asked about the performances of some of their players, as well as Dean Smith, as they will feel at least a point could have been rescued from the game.

However, one man who won't be getting harshly scrutinised is their new main striker: Mbwana Samatta.

The striker was making just his third appearance in an Aston Villa shirt, but he already looks like somebody that the team can rely on in the attacking areas.

He may not have added to the goal scored on his Premier League debut, but the Tanzania international was convincing in his play, with one moment of note being when he chested the ball down to create a chance for Anwar El Ghazi.

Looking at his statistics, the 27-year-old made two key passes, completed both of his attempted dribbles and won three aerial duels, which was enough to get him into the fans' good books.

In addition to the praise for his performance, there was also frustration about the fact that he had been substituted, coming off for Borja Baston in the 83rd minute.

They felt that Samatta had been an effective outball for the team, which was then taken away with his departure, as the Spaniard was unable to have the same impact.
