Aston Villa have endured a shaky start to the season under Steve Bruce, as a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday extended the club’s winless run to five league matches.
A failure to kick on after beating Hull City and Wigan Athletic during the opening weeks of the campaign has led to Villa hovering in mid-table, already five points behind early pacesetters Leeds United – and that margin could extend over the coming weeks.
That loss of form has seen Bruce attract plenty of criticism, with some fans already calling for his head, and we asked supporters how long they believe the experienced boss will remain in his position at Villa Park.
38% of polled supporters stated that they believe Bruce will be gone from his role by Christmas, while 34% are tipping a change to be made in just a few weeks. On top of this, just 19% believe that Bruce will last the entire season.
Rounding off the votes were 9% of supporters who optimistically suggested Bruce will remain in his role for more than a year, which given Villa’s current form seems unlikely.
