Veteran defender Robert Huth remains without a club having left Leicester City at the end of last season after four years of service at the King Power Stadium. His time with the Foxes included him playing a key role in the squad that won a remarkable Premier League title in 2016.

The 34-year-old centre-back may currently be a free agent, but he could still perform at a high level were any clubs willing to offer him the opportunity.

The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below...

A veteran with over 300 Premier League appearances, three English top-flight winners’ medals and 19 German international caps to his name, Huth’s experience and leadership could be an invaluable asset to the right squad.

Aston Villa, in particular, ought to act now take to advantage of Huth’s present availability. The new manager at Villa Park, Dean Smith, will surely wish to bolster his defensive contingent in January, and Huth would provide an affordable, high-level depth to the current first-choice pairing of James Chester and Axel Tuanzebe.

Plenty of Villans fans agree that Huth would be a smart winter acquisition, with 60% of those who took part in our poll voting in favour of adding the German to Smith’s squad. See the full results below.
