Aston Villa‘s away kit in 1993 can only be described as horrendous.
The black and green strip with red pin stripes just doesn’t work. There’s a saying when it comes to wearing different coloured clothes, ‘red and green, shouldn’t be seen.’ If only people at Asics had taken this into account when making this terrible strip. Even the sponsor ‘Muller’ is a bit much.
Villa were a top side in 1993, challenging for the Premier League. Fans having to watch their side in this kit however, must have found it difficult to stomach.
To make things worse for this away strip – this is the goalkeeper’s jersey that accompanied it. A vomit-inducing mixture of colours in triangles and squares. Another horrible day at the office for Asics. And you wonder why nobody uses Asics as a sponsor any more.
