Aston Villa are interested in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan according to The Daily Star.
The 20-year-old is a product of the Chelsea youth academy, and as is customary for the Blues’ youngsters, he has spent the past two seasons out on loan, first at Bristol City then at Swansea City.
The striker excelled in his first loan spell, notching up 23 goals for the Robins in the Championship, but he found life harder in the Premier League in a struggling Swansea side, scoring five goals last season.
Following Michy Batshuayi’s loan move to Valencia, Abraham is now one of only three strikers at Chelsea, alongside Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.
Now according to the report, Aston Villa are keen on signing the youngster on loan for the season as Steve Bruce looks to catch up on the transfer business he missed out on during the window when the club were undergoing financial troubles.

Tammy Abraham showed two seasons ago what a class act he is at Championship level and he’s only going to be better having spent a year in the top-flight.
The question remains whether Chelsea would willingly let him depart with few options currently on their books.
If Villa could convince Maurizio Sarri to part with the young talent, they would have a real gem on their hands that could fire them up the table with his lethal goalscoring.
