Jack Grealish is Aston Villa’s captain, talisman and leader on the pitch, and he has shown that attitude off it during an interview with the Express & Star.
The various topics the 24-year-old spoke about include working towards earning an England cap, winning a trophy and not thinking about the threat of Villa getting relegated.
This has got plenty of people commenting on what he has said, as the comments have seemingly made them fall in love with him even more.
Jack Grealish: “I don’t think about negative stuff. I don’t think about relegation and I don’t think we are going to get relegated. I want to play for England and I want to lift a trophy for Aston Villa – those are the two things I have got on my mind.” [express & star] #avfc pic.twitter.com/m7XTQhaHMQ

Fans have been very impressed with his mentality, as one said “if only the rest of the team were thinking like him”, while another has compared him to Christian Benteke.
The talisman has started 26 games in the Premier League and Carabao Cup, coming off the bench twice, scoring nine goals and six assists.
That record, along with the mentality shown, has convinced fans that “he’ll play at the top” and that he should already have England caps to his name.
Like benteke he’s on another page to the rest of the team and that’s why he’ll play at the top

@JackGrealish speaks so much sense even when we’ve been defeated. That is one of the main reasons I love this chap to bits. The part ‘I want to play for England’ got me though to be fair he should have got his cap long ago but that’s just me. #UTV

This has made it feel almost inevitable that he will eventually leave the club, which has got fans emotional, with one saying “don’t leave us king”.
One has stated that “he deserves teammates and a manager that are on his level”, though that still doesn’t make the idea of him leaving any easier, as one fan stated, “I’m actually going to cry when we sell him in the summer”.
The academy product has played 175 times for the club, which has made the attachment even stronger, adding to how tough it will be to see him leave.
Wow I’m actually going to cry when we sell him this Summer, aren’t I?

He deserves teammates and a manager that are on his level. Going to be gutted when he goes but unless we stay up and are in Europe by winning next Sunday he will leave.
