The 20-year-old playmaker is one of the latest talents to emerge in Belgian football, and is already a key member of his side’s starting XI.
His performances have earned senior international recognition and Champions League outings, as well as three league titles in his homeland.
Many major European clubs are thought to be watching him closely, which has led to talk of an end of season move, with reports suggesting that he will stay with Anderlecht to develop for the rest of the season.
And his agent, Jacques Lichtenstein, believes that Praet, despite his age, has achieved all he can with his current employers, with a move to a big club like Liverpool or Arsenal next on the agenda:
“What can he gain by spending one more season at Anderlecht where he has already played for three years and has contributed to three back-to-back league titles?” He is quoted by the Daily Star.
“Dennis will not just play for any club. He can join the likes of Valencia, Liverpool, Arsenal or Atletico Madrid but not Dynamo Kyiv.
“He is not so far away from being at the level of Arsenal, where they will allow him a year to settle down.”
Liverpool and Arsenal are rumoured to be keen on Praet, while the likes of Spurs, Chelsea, Valencia and Dortmund are other names in the mix.
