Throughout his management career, Harry Redknapp has spent the best part of £350million in the transfer market. That will come as little surprise to those who know the Englishman from his spells at West Ham, Tottenham and Portsmouth - where he was often lauded for his ability to source savvy deals for talented players.

Redknapp himself, however, believes his best piece of business came all the way back in 1986 when he was in charge of Bournemouth. Indeed, we associate Redknapp so quickly with his tenures in the Premier League that it can be easy to forget he started out on the south coast, spending nine years in the Bournemouth dugout and securing promotion to the second tier during that time.
