Revealed: 67% of polled Bournemouth fans want to see the full-back area improved

Following the news of Adam Smith’s injury, which will rule him out of action for up to three months, Bournemouth’s full-back options aren’t looking too strong.

To replace the injured Englishman, 33-year-old Simon Francis has come into the team, and whilst he is a reliable performer, his days as a professional footballer seem numbered with his place in the team an unsustainable one.

The in-form Ryan Fraser has also played there in the past, whilst summer signing Jefferson Lerma can play at right-back if need be.

Elsewhere, only 38-year-old Artur Boruc can provide decent cover for first choice Asmir Begovic in goal, suggesting that the goalkeeping department may also need some reinforcement soon.
