Arsenal's post-Christmas results have been two comprehensive home victories against West Brom and Crystal Palace. Nonetheless, Arsene Wenger takes his Arsenal side to the South Coast to face Eddie Howe's Bournemouth tonight for what will be a tricky clash.

Ahead of the game, Howe is sure to have targeted a number of weaknesses in the Arsenal side that his Cherries team can exploit.

The Dorset side face the Gunners after an impressive victory over Swansea that put further breathing space between themselves and the bottom three, and now the team's eyes are firmly focused on the top half of table.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will be hopeful of ensuring they don't suffer a third away defeat in a row following losses to Everton and Manchester City in mid-December. Weaknesses were evident during both those defeats and you can rest assured Howe will have identified the Gunners' issues.

Here are THREE areas in which Bournemouth might get some joy against Arsenal...

Lack of pace in central defence

As witnessed in defeats to Liverpool, Southampton and Manchester City this season, the Gunners' central defensive duo have struggled to cope with players running in behind them.

Shkodran Mustafi is expected to return to the fold for the game on the South Coast, however, the German isn't blessed with the pace required to match the Bournemouth front-three.

Putting balls in behind the Gunners' back four could prove a worthwhile approach.

Over-reliance on Alexis Sanchez

Even the most honest of Arsenal supporters would admit that without Alexis Sanchez, their top-four/title chances would be in real jeopardy.

If Bournemouth are capable of silencing the Chile international, Arsenal's chances of securing a victory will be seriously diminished. As witnessed at Manchester City, Sanchez had little effect on the game when he was man-marked for the 90 minutes.

Howe must ensure his side keep a close eye on Sanchez and have two men working to nullify his impact.

Mental fragility

As everyone knows all too well, Arsenal are one of the more mentally weak teams in the Premier League. Renowned chokers, the Gunners have made a habit of folding when the going gets tough.

Howe must set up his side to hurt Arsenal from the early stages of the game, and with the crowd roaring and the players high on confidence, Arsenal could crumble under the pressure.
