The Brazilian attacker has been earning rave reviews for his displays in Lisbon this term, he’s notched nine goals in 20 appearances, following a summer move from boyhood club Bahia
This form has led to talk of an early switch away from the Estadio de Luz, with both Chelsea and United having been linked with offers in the region of £25m-£30m for the starlet.
Scouts from both sides are understood to be monitoring the Brazil U-23 star’s development, with rumours suggesting that end-of-season raids may be on their agendas.
However, Talsica himself says that he’s content at Benfica, and that he’s at the right club to progress as a player:
“This is the right club for me to continue to develop,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.
“Here the football is different to Brazil and a bit of adaptation is needed. I’m getting better every day.”
Benfica are known for nurturing talent before selling on for a big profit, with Lazar Markovic – who joined Liverpool in a £20m deal over the summer – a recent example.
