On manager Neil Warnock’s 70th birthday, his Cardiff City side delivered him the precious gift of three Premier League points in dramatic fashion.
The Bluebirds beat fellow newly-promoted side Wolves at the Cardiff City Stadium to secure a victory that lifted them out of the relegation zone.
Aron Gunnarsson’s second half strike cancelled out Wolves’ opener, which had been netted by Matt Doherty. Then, in the 77th minute, Junior Hoilett gave Cardiff the lead with his first goal of the season.
Haven’t seen Paul Pogba’s latest strange photoshoot? You need to check out the video below…
The ball broke to the attacker on the edge of the area. Hoilett took the shot first time, which arced wickedly around the flailing glove of Rui Patricio, before crashing into the back of the net, via a satisfying clip off of the underside of the bar.
It was truly a goal deserving of settling the match, and Cardiff will be delighted to have secured their third league win of the season.
After the game, plenty of Bluebirds fans took to Twitter to congratulate Hoilett on his stunning goal…

Man like Hoilett

Man, waking up with three points feels good. Thought #cardiffcity deserved the win yesterday and showed great character. Bamba and Gunnar, despite the error for the goal, were superb. Hoilett played better than he has all season in an uncomfortable role. #CityAsOne
