Whilst the Champions League action was the pick of the show this week young Harry Charsley was busy making an impression for Everton’s U23 sides on Monday evening.
The young midfielder went viral after his stunning goal in Everton’s 1-1 draw in the Premier League reserves clash against Chelsea, which was posted onto social media by the club’s official account.

Dazzling his way through the match and proving to be a shining light on a foggy night in Southport, Charsley’s curling effort was the highlight of the clash.
It was an early birthday present for the young midfielder, who turned 20 yesterday, and it shows that Everton’s famed academy is still capable of developing some gems – and we may see this man in the first-team soon, if he continues with these performances.
At the club since the age of nine, Charsley was a crucial figure in Everton’s U18’s side that won the league in the 2013/14 season and penned a new deal last summer, extending his contract at Goodison Park until 2017.
If he continues with these sort of performances, then you can expect him to stay on Merseyside beyond next summer.
