Chelsea ace Ryan Bertrand has completed a permanent move to Southampton, according to Sky Sports.
Bertrand was with the Saints on loan during the first half of the season, but the 25-year-old has now signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the St. Mary’s club after a £10million fee was agreed.
The full-back was with Chelsea since 2005, spending most of his time loaned out to different clubs before making his Premier League debut in 2011.
Bertrand would go on to become a mainstay in the side and started in the Champions League final the following year, where Chelsea beat Bayern Munich via a penalty shoot-out.
But ever since the arrival of manager Jose Mourinho, Bertrand found it difficult to keep a regular starting place and was loaned out to Aston Villa during the second-half of last season.
He was then shipped out to Southampton at the beginning of the current campaign, where Bertrand has slotted in perfectly at left-back for Ronald Koeman’s side in the aftermath of Luke Shaw’s sale to Manchester United.
