The agent of Brazilian wonder kid Victor Andrade has revealed the player has been attracting interest from “some of the bigger clubs in England” according to the Daily Express.
Andrade has been labelled ‘the new Neymar’ in his homeland, since making his debut for Santos as a 16-year-old.
However he is yet to sign a professional contract at the Brazilian clubs, and a host of English sides are thought to be monitoring the situation closely.
Andrade’s agent NVA Entertainment Group, have confirmed English clubs are amongst those fighting for the player’s signature.
An NVA Entertainment Group spokesman said: “We can confirm that there is interest in England in Victor, and not unsurprisingly from some of the bigger clubs.
“Victor is a wonderful talent, but we and his family are calm and we are confident his future will be resolved at the right time, in the right way.”
Santos will be desperate to keep hold of their latest star for as long as possible, having already lost Neymar to Barcelona this summer, and 19-year-old striker Neilton finding himself linked with a move to Tottenham.
Andrade himself has spoken of his desire to test himself in Europe, following pearls of wisdom from his Godfather Robinho.
“My godfather Robinho has told me of the great experiences he had at Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan. He told me how it made him a better player because playing in Europe means you must adapt to different styles and systems,” Andrade said.
“I think it will be a great education for me. Everybody around the world knows about the strength of the Premier League.”
