Chelsea & Arsenal told to forget about 19-goal attacking star

Antoine Griezmann will not be leaving Atletico Madrid, despite links with clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea, according to the La Liga side’s president, Enrico Cerezo.

The France international has emerged as one of the finest talents in Spanish football over the course of the past few years and has already netted 19 goals in all competitions this term, despite not being an orthodox striker.

His blistering form has, naturally, alerted a host of big clubs, with Chelsea and Arsenal thought to be names in the mix.

However, Cerezo is adamant that Griezmann has no interest in leaving the Vicente Calderon:

“Antoine Griezmann is very happy and satisfied here.” He told Cadena Ser (via talkSPORT).

Atletico are currently facing an extended transfer ban – which will prevent them from securing deals for two windows – albeit an appeal is likely to grant them a summer of business.

Griezmann himself is set to star for France at EURO 2016 in his home nation.
