Manchester City have joined Chelsea in the race for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, as reported by Telegraph Sport.
The £30million rated Vardy has become one of the hottest strikers in the Premier League this season, after firing the Foxes to the top of the table with 15 goals already this term.
Leicester are reluctant to lose their star man in January, but Chelsea have made him a top January transfer target.
But Telegraph Sport claim Manchester City are also interested in bringing the 28-year-old to the Etihad in January, though their interest is not reportedly as strong as the Blues’.
It is believed another injury to Sergio Aguero could spark City in to action, though, while a bid from Chelsea may also convince them to turn their interest in to a formal offer.
Vardy broke to the Premier League record for scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League games earlier this season, and the striker has two-and-a-half years left on his £40,000-a-week King Power Stadium contract.
