Chelsea fans not keen on Leonardo Bonucci deal

According to reports in The Sun, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is said to be hopeful that he will complete a £48m deal to sign Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci this summer.

The Italian is keen to bring in a new centre-back before the start of next season following the announcement that captain John Terry is leaving the club, and it looks as though the Italy international is his preferred target having established himself as one of the best in his position in recent years.

Conte worked with the 30-year-old during his time with the Italian giants and as boss of the national team, and he is keen to be reunited with him for a third time as he looks to retain the Premier League title and have a tile at the Champions League next season.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, with many unhappy that a 30-year-old could cost £48m, and others wanting the club to bring in a young defender instead.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
