Chelsea’s loan policy in recent seasons has seen the Blues widely criticised in recent seasons but the West London outfit have no intention of shaking things up.
Remarkably already have 38 players out on-loan around the world but come January that number is set to increase in the New Year, with Chelsea’s U23 and U21 boss Adi Viveash telling Goal he expects more players to be shipped out in the mid-season.
“This is a different group, we have a couple from this group that in January will probably be looking [to move on loan] at the older end.”
“The reality is, that when you go out there it is what you do and Tammy, you could have envisaged Tammy hitting the ground running, but what Tammy has is a massive enthusiasm for the game.”
The Tammy Viveash is referring too is Tammy Abraham, who has shone on-loan with Bristol City in the Championship and currently leads the scoring charts in the division.
Whilst it’s work for the likes of Abraham and Andreas Cristensen, who has impressed during his long stint with Borussia Monchengladbach, it has been a long time since a youth product from the academy became a regular at Stamford Bridge.
