Everton star Romelu Lukaku could make a return to Chelsea amid feelings that he has ‘unfinished business’ back at Stamford Bridge, Mirror reports.
Lukaku has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park in recent weeks, with Manchester United keen on the Belgium international.
The striker has been in fine form for the Toffees in the current campaign, but his performances have not been enough to haul the Merseyside club out of a midtable position..
However, it seems that Lukaku wants to re-join the Blues, despite only being given one start in three years, while also being sent out on loan to West Bromwich Albion and Everton, during that period in London.
The Toffees signed the 22-year-old for a club record £28million on a permanent basis back in the summer of 2014, and after two years of impressive performances, he is unlikely to be sold without a significant profit for his club.
But Blues owner Roman Abramovich is set to provide incoming manager Antonio Conte with much needed transfer funds, which could be used to bring back the former Anderlecht attacker.
Lukaku has made 40 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 25 goals.
